There are many opportunities to part of a small group at Our Saviour. These are some of them:

  • Blokes for Christ: a large group of men (not a group of large men) who provide BBQs, gardening, beach trips and other acts of service. They are regularly spotted in conversation under the large tree on the chapel green. They can be approached freely and without concern.
  • HOSTS identify places and people in need of aid, support and care. Also provide quality coffee and a mid-year bush dance in which a splendid time is guaranteed for all. Providers of Trivia Nights also.
  • Home Groups meet weekly or fortnightly mostly in the evening to share their lives with each other and grow through Bible study.
  • Playgroup (parents, babies, toddlers) meets Tuesday morning at the ‘MPC” during term time. They are not to be confused with the drama group.
  • Rubies” is a monthly Saturday morning group for women.  Fab food and laughter predominate.
  • Men’s Breakfast (two groups) meet each Saturday morning for prayer, bible study and conversation followed by a bang up breakfast. You’ll feel thoroughly ‘centred’ and inspired and you won’t need to eat for the rest of the day.
  • Discipleship Action Groups meet in cycles of 8 weeks. These are mostly young adult groups supported by an older, wiser ‘shepherd’. They are not seated on the ground, though.
  • Thursday Morning Ladies meet probably on a Thursday around 9.30 in the chapel.
  • Prayer group meets weekly on a Wednesday morning in the chapel. If you arrive early you’ll see the Junior School assembly which is a sight to behold.
  • Music groups: most people learn to play an instrument in their youth. You can rediscover your musicianship by joining one of the many music teams that provide music on a Sunday morning and evening
  • Our Saviour Choir allow us to not worry so much about the tricky syntactical constructions of “And Can it Be’ as they provide support for worship in multi-part harmony.
  • Care for Parents of teenagers group. If you are a parent of a teenager, we understand and we don’t blame you. We are hoping to meet on a Friday night during youth group to provide support, coffee and maybe the odd board game.
  • Book Club for 2012. This is a hopeful for next year

Additionally, there are Friday youth groups (LAZER and OSSY) and Sunday morning children’s groups (Under 5 singing and Kids for Christ).
